Just saw this movie recently..

A pat on the back should be given to Roland Emmerich, a German-born director for his magnificent movie entitled : 2012..

1stly, let's have a glance at the synopsis of this box office film.

Disaster movie maven Roland Emmerich (Independence Day, The Day After Tomorrow) crafts this apocalyptic sci-fi thriller following an academic researcher who opens a portal into a parallel universe, making contact with his double in an effort to prevent the catastrophic prophecies of the ancient Mayan calendar from coming to pass. According to the Mayan calendar, the world will come to an end on December 21, 2012. When a global cataclysm thrusts the world into chaos, divorced writer and father Jackson Curtis (John Cusack) uses his knowledge of the ancient prophecies to ensure that the human race is not completely wiped out.

The movie is about the world which will come to an end at 21st December 2012 according to the Mayan calendar. A geologist name Dr Adrian Helmsey and a writer name Jackson Curtis play a big role in this adrenalin rush movie. Based on research and study, a few scientist have figure out that the Earth crust is somehow destabilising and this will lead to a catastrophe. Some leaders of the world have set up an underground organization which the job is to build arks in the hidden valley of Cho Ming that can withstand the disaster that will occur, but these arks are just for selected person which can afford to pay the ticket which cost 1 billion euro per head!! I like the movie because we can learn many lessons from the perspective of a Muslim. For sure we cannot believe that , but at least we should realise that the world is very very old. Its lifespan almost come to an end. To sum up, I'll rate this movie 9 out of 10.. ahakz..you should see this movie..hehe..that's all..
